Thanh Hóa

Thanh Hoa is a province in northern Vietnam bordered by Laos and the Gulf of Tonkin. On the coast, Sầm Sơn is a resort town with a long, white-sand beach. Bến En National Park is home to Ngọc cave, wild animals including gibbons and elephants, and Sông Mực Lake, which is dotted with islands. In Pù Luông Nature Reserve, rice fields and traditional stilt house villages are backed by craggy limestone mountains.
